Safety is a high priority at Entergy, an integrated energy company that produces and distributes electric power, and is the second-largest nuclear generator in the United States. Entergy works with the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) to develop performance indicators that are used to monitor safety preparedness at individual nuclear generation plants. INPO is an industry organization with the mission of promoting safe and reliable operation of nuclear energy power plants.

Entergy contacted GORGES looking for help designing and building web-based tools to manage and display these safety-related performance indicators. GORGES created a dashboard system that lets users enter performance data, and view summaries in tabular or graphical presentations. Users can compare indicator data between Entergy-owned plants, or between plants operated by different companies.

The top of the dashboard control panel allows the user to select time period, comparison plants and thresholds, and whether the data is displayed in tables or charts.
