Martha Stewart
Gorges lends Martha a hand! (2007)
Gorges user interface development team was called in as a sub-contractor with our friends from 1/0 techologies in NYC, to help Martha Stewart's internal Web team tidy up several areas of the site as they approached their launch date.
Gorges was asked to help organize a massive CSS library in dis-array. Apparently too many designers and programmers working somewhat independently had created a bit of a mess in the style sheets.
Gorges created a proper CSS namespace, and filtered out conflicting and duplicate style sheet entries across dozens of individual CSS files. The result was a properly cascading style sheet system, along with useful templates which make their lives a lot easier by automating the page creation process.
Features
- CSS creation for very complex layout CSS 2 site
- Auto page creation from excel spreadsheet data for "Cookie of the Day" section
- CSS/Design reorganization for multiple areas of the site including "Kirkland Signature"
