Gorges Web Sites is now just GORGES

Chris Grant, CEO

Your friends at GORGES have been busy in 2010. In addition to some great new projects, we have updated our website and our web address. You can now find our website at: www.GORGES.us

This change is more than just a different web address. It reflects the growing diversity in projects that we undertake for our clients. Yes, we still design, build and host effective websites. But we also develop complex business applications and Internet software solutions that are critical to our customers' businesses.

At GORGES, we are in our 5th year delivering quality website design, web development, online stores, and Web Marketing services. Here you'll discover how we are helping businesses just like yours grow and prosper.

       -- Christopher Grant, GORGES

What is new?

In just the last 6 months, we have launched over 20 new websites and business services for our clients. (See full launch list) | (Selected client list)

It was hard to select just a few websites out of the dozens we have completed recently to show you. In this newsletter you'll find 4 newsletter-only staff picks!

Tompkins County Public Library [www.TCPL.org]

library website screenshot In January, GORGES published a completely re-designed information website and portal for this valuable community institution. After a big effort of GORGES and TCPL staff spanning more than 6 months of time, the new, re-organized website is easy to use and easy to keep updated by library staff.

The website features separate portals for adults, teens, and kids, and is programmed to be mobile friendly, so the site works great on your phone! Try it out: [www.TCPL.org]

"Thank you both so very much for the terrific work of everyone at GORGES who helped us with the new site. Our Board was really excited about the website and the new features. We appreciate the time, the care and the energy all of you put into this project. We are thrilled with the results!"

Graceful Gardens [www.GracefulGardens.com]

gg Owners Mark and Amanda Shenstone needed a way to sell their spectacular selection of garden flowers and plants online. GORGES responded with a stunningly designed website that quickly and easily guides the site visitor to purchasing trays of quality flowers.

After the site was live and selling, Amanda said:

"Your work is simply brilliant. You always understood what I was talking about or looking for. I feel very fortunate to have worked with you."

This online holistic resource is focused on promoting health and wellness, spirituality, and sustainability in the local community.

The site boasts online video libraries, communities of contributors, and facebook and twitter integration.

Some of the increasingly powerful Google tools found their way into this effort, with Google map integration, and a feature that synchronizes local events to the visitor’s own calendar.
