Gorges has been hiring!

Gorges is bucking the trend and adding design and programming capacity rapidly to serve our growing client list. This year, we welcomed: Rebecca Younes, Rasmus Schultz and Alex Michaluk to our programming team.


Recent web site launches

Our pace of web site launches has been increasing. In September we launched a record six web sites and services. Wow! We have several more major web sites and software applications about to launch this month. Check out our full list of web site and software launches.

Showpopr [www.Showpopr.com]

Showpopr Gorges Web Sites demonstrates advanced web 2.0 social networking and social bookmarking with this new site for music fans, published this summer. The site features a hip design and uses modern development techniques for quick implentation of new features. We are continuing work on a new version for this fall that will incorporate broadcast videos and much more.

Polo Training Foundation [www.polotraining.org]

Click for Polo Training Web Site The PTF needed a site that reflected their mission to bring the game of Polo to young people all over the US while being easy for them to maintain themselves. Gorges brought a bold, bright look to their web site site that highlights the intensity of the game with action filled photos, and interactivity such as 'ask the umpire' areas. Our signature content management system gives their office the functionality to edit all of the web site whenever they need to.

Straight Line Performance Solutions [www.StraightLinePS.com]

Straight Line Web Site Straight Line Performance Solutions contracted Gorges Web Sites to build a prototype online statistics tool, called 'Sample Sizer'. Gorges utilized Linux / PHP and our existing application development tool kits to rapidly deploy a web-based version of their requirements. After this success, the project expanded as we added online registration, dashboards, a content management system, and a series of additional tools. This project is still under development, with plans to roll out a dozen additional tools throughout 2008.

Kidfresh! [www.Kidfresh.com]

kidfresh Kid food takes center stage with the opening of Kidfresh, the New York City store for all things a kid will find tasty and good for them. With a full line-up of healthy kid's meals, Kidfresh is the newest and best thing in New York. Our launch of this site in September is a '2.0' version of the site, incorporating Google Maps in the store locator, an online poll and sweepstakes, a new site design, and updated content management system.

Cornell Facilities Document Archive [not a public site]

Cornell Facilities Cornell's Department of Facilities Management maintains a comprehensive digital archive of all of Cornell's construction drawings, schematics, and records. In order to make this information more accessible, We helped migrate their existing database from FileMaker to Oracle and built an administrative management application to maintain the data, and enable the searching and use of over 200 years of information.
