John Sammis

Chief Operating Officer and Production Manager

John Sammis is the Chief Operating Officer for GORGES. John's main responsibility is to manage the project flow through the company. This entails verifying that specifications and estimates have been signed-off, interacting with and assisting designers and developers, tracking progress against milestones and budgets, communicating status to clients, and ensuring that deployed systems and websites are stable and meet customer expectations.

Prior to joining GORGES John ran Data Description, a statistics software and consulting company. John was responsibility for overseeing all operations of the company, and actively participated in the design and development of the software. He also provided data analytic consulting services to clients in many industries, including higher education, healthcare, medical devices, defense and automotive. John started his career with IBM serving in various engineering and sales positions. John received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University, and a Masters of Business Administration from Cornell University. He has published a number of white papers and articles related to predictive modeling and data mining.
