David first learned to program on TRS-80 computers as a child in the early 80s. After completing a PhD in history in 2003, he returned to the fold as a web developer. He specializes in web application development using Ruby on Rails and building complex web sites with Drupal. He leads several projects; he solves complex problems on other projects; and generally makes sure that GORGES projects run smoothly from a technical perspective. Outside of work, David is a traveller, gardener, home brewer, and reader. In the summers you will find him in Bulgaria with his wife and two children.
